Announcement
August 19, 2022
For 2022 and 2023 products, Autodesk has implemented that the following components are updated automatically on a regular basis:
- Autodesk Genuine Service
- Autodesk Installer
- Autodesk Licensing
- Autodesk Interoperability Manager (for Revit and Inventor Files)
- Inventor product home screen
For some, failed updates are causing the unintended install of user’s Autodesk Products.
We strongly recommend network administrators disable these automatic updates on their end-user’s PCs to avoid these unintended installs.
To disable automatic updates of these components, follow these instructions:
- Open the Registry Editor in Windows
- Browse to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\ODIS”. If the “ODIS” key doesn’t exist, create it.
- Right Click: Create a new “DWORD (32-bit) Value” with:
- Name: DisableAutoUpdate
- Value: 1
