Announcement
September 14, 2020
2020 has been a year for change – that’s for sure. We are now about 6 months out from the last day I worked in the Synergis offices in Quakertown, PA. The way we all work and do business has been affected – but we’ve grown stronger from this experience and are better positioned to support our customers. I wanted to take a few minutes to explain some of the ways in which Synergis has adapted for this “new normal” and explain how we are in a better position to help you stay ahead in these challenging times.
The first major change many of you have already noticed is the new Synergis Engineering Design Solutions website. If you haven’t seen it yet, take a look by clicking here. At the time, we wanted to update our content and provide a refreshed look. We finalized the new site right in the midst of the pandemic, so priorities quickly shifted to providing more meaningful ways for you to consume information. We’ve streamlined the site to only have the most important information for you and to better explain how Synergis is positioned to help. Little did we know that all of our mobile optimizations and code tweaks would be vital for the huge increase in mobile traffic due to working-from-home.
Another major change for 2020 was that, for the first time in more than ten years, Synergis University was not held. We truly regret that we needed to make the decision to cancel, but in hindsight, we are glad we made the decision as early as we did. As I am writing this, Pennsylvania is still limiting indoor gatherings to less than 250 people – a number we have historically exceeded at the previous events. In an effort to still provide the educational experience you have come to expect, we transitioned many of our SU 2020 classes to online webinars. Six of these webcasts were held in May & June, and we have another seven events schedule for September & October. Take a look here to see the events and register for virtual attendance.
As a result of the pandemic, Synergis open enrollment training had to take a short hiatus. In order to continue to support our customers in the way that they have come to expect, we were able to transition many of our training services to on-site and remote options. We also introduced Synergis EduCast, the most innovative way to take Autodesk software training. With Synergis EduCast, there is no travel, no classroom, and no hassle. Attend Autodesk training from anywhere you have an internet connection!
From a sales and service perspective, Synergis also shifted around internal resources in order to ensure we were ready and able to help our customers transition to a remote workforce. Our sales team has remained active and engaged to help maintain software access and continuity, while our technical team has been improved in order to address the large number of data management services related to remote access of data and files. We’ve also ensured that our Helpdesk team has the resources they need in order to support all of our customers when something just isn’t working correctly. All in all, we have been able to maintain our level of support while also ensuring that our customers are up and running.
As we all continue to work through 2020 and the changes it brings, know that your team at Synergis has adjusted and adapted seamlessly to ensure we still provide the same level of support to you. We’re all in this together, and we want you to know that we are ready and willing to help you stay ahead with the same personal touch and technical expertise that you’ve come to expect from Synergis. No matter what lies ahead, we will adjust and transition accordingly to ensure you have the best partner possible in your corner.
Helping You Stay Ahead,
Barrett Geyer, Marketing Manager
