Inventor 2018 release marks the next step forward in professional-grade 3D mechanical engineering design. With big investments in areas such as Large Assembly Performance and Model Based Definition, we’re ensuring that Inventor customers drive better productivity and efficiency well into the future.  Improved design workflows from sketching to complex assembly modeling help engineers design faster. Interoperability enhancements enable distributed, multidisciplinary teams to work together more efficiently with data from a variety of sources. Model simplification tools have been overhauled for more flexibility and better usability. Building product manufacturers now have powerful workflows to create BIM Content for architecture and construction use cases. As a first step towards modernizing Inventor’s user interface, the model browser and measure tool have been given a makeover. The overall user experience has been enhanced for more productivity and flexibility. Last but not least, many customer driven enhancements such as multi-body sheet metal rules, support for mesh in drawings, extrude offset from face and dozens more have been implemented.
