Announcement
September 13, 2016

Description:
Microsoft released security updates to fix a vulnerability issues where remote code can be executed on Windows 7 & 10 machines. However, this also effected users printing capabilities as well.
Issue:
#1: After printing 2 or so successful documents, you’re no longer able to print anything else.
#2: You’re greeted with a message that your application cannot connect to the Printer.

Solution:
If you see any of the following windows updates

  • Windows 10 users: KB3176493
  • Windows 7 & 8.1 users: KB3177725

Windows 7 & 8.1 machines can be resolved by installing the KB 3187022 update. However, Windows 10 machines will need to uninstall the update KB3176493 as Microsoft haven’t provided an update fix.

KUDO’s goes to one of our AWESOME customers (Will Wydock at Genesis Engineers) for bringing this to our attention! Thank You Will!!!
