Announcement
December 15, 2014
This year, Synergis was an Autodesk University Reseller Sponsor and exhibitor. We sent a team to meet with our customers, stay up to date with their skills, and find out how we can continue to provide the best service and knowledge to the people we work with.
Exhibits:
The exhibit floor was filled with innovative exhibits. Curt Egli, Synergis Solutions Engineer, really enjoyed the robot pictured here. He said someone could actually get inside and commandeer it. Much like present video games brought to life.
Jim Swain, Project Manager, was very impressed with the wide variety of additive manufacturing devices in the Exhibit Hall. (Used to be known as “rapid prototyping machines”.) One device in particular caught his eye because it creates fiberglass-like parts that have carbon fiber reinforcements. Another was demonstrating how it could build a replacement heart valve for open heart surgery.
Classes:
Our team attended dozens of sessions and will be posting about some of these throughout the week, so subscribe to our blog to learn more. Jim said that he particularly liked a lab course that walked through developing workflows for simplifying Inventor assemblies.
Learn online.
Many of the classes offered at AU2014 have resources or even recordings of the sessions posted online for free. Check it out on the Autodesk University Online page.
