Meet people. Learn stuff.
The concept behind the term synergy is that teamwork will produce an overall better result than if each person was working toward the same goal individually. We can thank R. Buckminster Fuller for helping to make the term popular, and whose name is paid homage in the naming of buckminsterfullerene, aka buckyballs – think Epcot Center in Walt Disney World.

This collaboration is at the core of Synergis. We collaborate with each other to give our customers the best solutions available. And we want you to collaborate with us, with other members of the education community, and with commercial customers because together we can accomplish much more.

How do we do this? By providing the venues to make this possible. User groups, hands-on product test drives, seminars, webcast, and Synergis University.

See what’s happening near you. Or if you want to participate at your desk, check out our Live Webcasts and Screencasts here.

Mastering FEA - Free, One Day Class

Today's CAD-embedded and graphical FEA interfaces make generating meshes and getting results easier than it has ever been.  However, intro product training is no substitute for coaching in best-practices to maximize the value of the analysis or tips to avoid common mistakes nearly all new and many experienced users make.
Date: September 18, 2014
Time: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Location: Sands Hotel, Bethlehem, PA
After this software-independent workshop, attendees will be able to answer the following questions:
• How can I determine if I have over-constrained my model?
• Do my loads really represent real-world behavior?
• Part or Assembly?
• What is the best CAD model to start with? Can I over-simplify?
• When should I use Shells, Beams, Plane Stress or Axisymmetry?
• Is my mesh converged?
• Do I need nonlinear?
• What result quantity is important for my material? My design criteria?
• Can I trust my results?
• Should I consider dynamic effects?
Vince Adams will be presenting the session.  Vince has been a consultant, instructor, and advocate for FEA in product design for over 20 years. He has written 3 books on the subject, including the popular "Building Better Products with Finite Element Analysis" as well as numerous articles for Desktop Engineering & Design News magazines. Vince has been an invited speaker and instructor with engagements all over the United States as well as Europe, South Africa & Asia.
The class is free, however, seating is limited.  Register now.
