Synergis CAD IQ Saves Money and Increases CAD Productivity for Internationally-acclaimed Architectural Firm

Kieran Timberlake Associates LLP is an award-winning and internationally published architecture firm noted for its research, innovation and inventive design and planning services. Kieran Timberlake Associates’ projects include the programming, planning and design of all types of new structures and their interiors; and, the renovation, reuse and conservation of existing structures. Founded in 1984, and located in Philadelphia, the firm is comprised of fifty professionals.

As the firm grew and new employees with varying degrees of experience came on board, it became more and more difficult for experienced CAD users to teach the newcomers the in’s and out’s of AutoCAD. Management realized the need for focused AutoCAD training for their employees, however, they struggled with determining the level of training each individual required.

Synergis’ CAD IQ Skills Assessment was the answer to their training dilemma and Kieran Timberlake chose Synergis because of this unique offering.

Using the Skills Assessment results, three groups were formed – Advanced, Intermediate and Beginner – to enable each employee to receive highly customized and targeted training based on their current CAD abilities. Classes were held over a three day period at Kieran Timberlake’s facility. The students found the AutoCAD 2002 training sessions instructed by Ed Lick, Synergis Training Director, to be responsive and adaptive to their needs. Monica Wyatt, CAD Training Coordinator at Kieran Timberlake, said “Ed was flexible and engaging, always wanting to make sure our needs were met. Our training expectations were exceeded. Classes moved quickly but allowed for discussion and engaged additional topics of interest to the class.”
